The Southern California Edison GO5 Generator and Fuel Tank Demolition Project involved the removal of four generators and one 9,000-gallon underground fuel tank at the Central Plant in Rosemead. MSH collaborated with the architect and engineer to develop procedure details and navigate the permit process with the LADPW and Fire Authority, AQMD, and the City of Rosemead. The demolition and removal included disconnections of conduits and piping involving back flushing, structural modifications to CMU building wall, hazardous material testing, 1166 monitoring during excavation, utilization of lift crane, backfill and grading, and new concrete and asphalt paving.
